I am a millwright with over 20 years experience with a vast knowledge of alignments, pump rebuilds, power generating turbines, and mechanical troubleshooting with more than 10 successful years in a supervisory role in construction.
Perform mechanical onshore support for the offshore Hess operated oil production platforms in the Gulf Of Mexico. Responsible for various activities including but not limited to troubleshooting of pumps and engines, QA/QC of mechanical repairs and equipment install of vendors, assisting the platforms with mechanical coverage in an abscense of the platform core crew. In addition, the CLS role is to review and revise maintenance plans and make specific changes to better suite the maintenance plan to the equipment and the platform for the best preventative maintenance results.
I perform everyday maintenance activities in the Shell oil refinery. The work is repairing and/or rebuilding fin fans to PM of pumps compressors and various other pieces of equipment. I also help the project crew with the upgrading of pumps to newer models which consists of removal, rebuild and/or replace, install and alignment. Sporadically, we have major maintenance jobs come up that would be a repair or rebuild of varying equipment like turbine driven ID fans on boilers, compressors, centrifugal pumps, hydraulic pumps, and gearboxes.
Primarily worked shutdowns on power generating turbines and generators. I would be responsible for taking measurements of rotors, seals, bearings, couplings, and associated hardware and setting in place back to as found specifications upon assembly. I also inspected and repaired both HP and LP valves in the steam generating system. We were also required to do rebuilds on the boiler feed water pumps.
