My career with B&B began as a Leadman, reporting to the crew Foreman. Responsibilities included, but were not limited to, the safe, productive, and quality construction, maintenance, and repair of green and brownfield electrical substations, ranging from 12 kV to 500 kV. Other responsibilities included directing and training employees under me.

While employed here, I have had the opportunity to be promoted from a Leadman to a Foreman, and then to a General Foreman. Presently, I am the Substation Superintendent, reporting directly to the Substation Director.

As Foreman, my responsibilities included, but were not limited to:

• Overseeing my crew, ranging from a 5-person to a 20-person crew makeup, in the safe, productive, and quality construction of green and brownfield substations ranging from 12 kV to 500 kV.
• Scheduling the delivery and pickup of company-owned and rental construction equipment.
• Requesting and holding clearances during outages.
• Attend progress meetings with the customers.
• Scheduling materials to be delivered.

As General Foreman, I reported directly to the Substation Manager. My responsibilities included, but were not limited to, the following:

• Overseeing numerous crews on different sites in multiple states.
• Ensuring the jobs are performed in a safe, productive, and quality manner for various customers.
• Ordering and scheduling materials to be delivered to jobs.
• Work alongside the safety department to conduct safety investigations.
• Attend customer safety conferences, pre-bid meetings, job kick-off meetings, and job progress meetings.
• Estimating and bidding on projects.

In my current role as Substation Superintendent, I report directly to the Substation Director. My responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Performing takeoffs, requesting quotes from substation packagers, estimating, and bidding projects for greenfield and brownfield electrical substations.
• Provide Not-To-Exceed (NTE) estimates to customers on T&E-based projects.
• Submit billing for T&E, Lump Sum, and Progress Draw projects.
• Attend pre-bid, project kickoff, safety conferences, and progress update meetings, both virtual and in-person, for various customers.
• Schedule crews, subcontractors, equipment, and procure materials for projects.
• Work alongside the Safety Department on accident investigations.
• Interview and hire employees.
• Approve and submit employee timesheets.
• Approve company credit card purchases made by crew foremen and general foremen.
• Attend in-house quarterly meetings to discuss company matters, such as financials, job performances, safety, individual department needs, upcoming projects, customer acquisition, etc.

Responsibilities included, but were not limited to:

• Offloading and backloading of workboats.
• Handling drill pipes of various sizes, along with drive pipe and casing.
• Chipping, buffing, painting, and general cleaning.
• Some experience on the rig floor tripping pipe.
• Assisted welder as needed.

I began my employment with Service Electric as a Leadman, overseeing crew members under the direction of the crew Foreman. During my employment, I was promoted to Crew Foreman.

Responsibilities included, but were not limited to:

• Safe, productive, and quality construction, maintenance, and repair of electrical substations ranging from 12 kV to 500 kV.
• Training and safety of my crew members ranging from 5 to 20 employees.
• Maintained and operated construction equipment.
• Held clearances during outages.
• Scheduled and received materials and substation equipment, including major equipment such as transformers, breakers, switch gear, and control buildings.

Employed as a laborer and equipment operator. During my employment, I learned how to read and comprehend blueprints, gained knowledge of the components of a substation, and its function. I advanced to a Leadman position, overseeing crew members under the direction of the Crew Foreman.

I was employed as a laborer, and my responsibilities included the following.

• Sacking fertilizer.
• Operated a forklift to load and unload trucks.
• Operated skid steer to load fertilizer hoppers.
• General cleanup of warehouse.

I was employed part-time while attending college and full-time during the summer months.
