Work History
Mechanical DLL/Mechanical SME/Mechanical QC
International Paper Vicksburg Mill
11.2014 - Current
Promoted how critical precision maintenance is through the challenging assignments that required students to rely on the information they had been taught in the four MPM classes I am certified to instruct.
Evaluated student progress regularly, providing timely feedback for continuous improvement in their certification process.
Implemented differentiated instruction techniques to accommodate various learning styles in which I would go out in the field with the students and perform the task at hand helping them build confidence in their abilities.
Continually pursued professional development opportunities to stay current with educational trends and research, ensuring high-quality instruction for all students.
Established a Quality Control program in 2015 that did not exist at the Vicksburg Mill before then. This QC backed mentality is stronger than ever here at Vicksburg.
I have been called on many times in the past ten years to assist both contractors and mill maintenance when they encountered task that they could not complete in a timely manner thus creating unscheduled mill downtime. My thirty plus years of mechanical knowledge and hands on experience have served both the mill and myself in a very positive way.
Was asked to join the reliability group in 2017 as the Quality Control Coordinator for the "Drive Project" personally qualified the installation of close to One Hundred Million dollars worth of process equipment that was upgraded by IP Corporate. My proudest accomplishment.
