Results-driven professional with extensive experience in emergency response and personalized training. Proven leadership in high-pressure environments, ensuring client safety and motivation. Expertise in designing customized fitness programs and conducting engaging group classes, with a focus on effective communication. Strong background as a Paramedic Captain, excelling in emergency response planning and team coordination.
With 17 years of dedicated service to the Vicksburg Fire Department, I’ve built a career rooted in leadership, mentorship, and continuous growth. Starting as a firefighter in 2008, I’ve progressed through every position in the department — ambulance driver, paramedic, private, lieutenant, and now Captain — giving me a comprehensive understanding of the challenges and responsibilities at every level.
In my current role as Captain/Paramedic, I lead daily operations, mentor junior firefighters, and develop training programs that improve performance, safety, and readiness. I’ve acted as Incident Commander during high-pressure responses ensuring effective coordination and firefighter safety. My experience allows me to see the big picture while understanding the needs of individual firefighters, making me uniquely suited to lead the training division.
Beyond my fire service, I am the founder and owner of Rejuvenating Fitness LLC and Rejuvenated Blueprint LLC, where I’ve helped hundreds of clients improve their physical, mental, and emotional readiness. From face-to-face coaching to expanding my platform online in 2024, I’ve trained a diverse range of clients, including Miss Mississippi 2023 Vivian O’Neal and Miss Mississippi 2025 Anna Leah Jolly as she prepares for Miss America. Running a successful business requires organization, adaptability, and people skills, all of which directly translate to managing a department-wide training program.
My background as a certified personal trainer (ISSA 2018, NASM 2021) adds another layer of value to this role. I know firsthand the importance of firefighter fitness and lead by example by maintaining my own readiness. Training firefighters isn’t just about tactics — it’s about preparing them physically, mentally, and emotionally for the demands of this profession.
Finally, my dedication to personal and professional growth has driven me to successfully pass the Battalion Commander’s exam, further demonstrating my readiness to take on greater responsibility within the department. I’m committed to leveraging my leadership experience, fitness expertise, and passion for training to develop innovative programs that elevate firefighter performance, safety, and preparedness.
This role is more than a promotion for me — it’s an opportunity to invest in our firefighters, strengthen our department, and ensure we remain prepared for whatever challenges lie ahead.
Passionate about developing others through leadership, fitness, and education. Actively coach and train individuals of all ages to improve physical performance, mindset, and overall well-being through my business, Rejuvenating Fitness. Lead youth athletic development programs, prepare high-level competitors like Miss Mississippi candidates, and create structured fitness and mindset plans designed to inspire discipline and long-term success. Additionally, mentor younger firefighters by helping them build the right mentality, develop strong work ethics, and maintain the physical conditioning required to perform at their best.
Over the past several years, I’ve been consistently recognized by The Vicksburg Post’s Best of the Best Awards for my leadership and excellence in the health and fitness industry. From 2020 to 2024, I have been awarded Best Personal Trainer and honored with multiple accolades for Best Fitness Center through Rejuvenating Fitness and Best Weight Loss Program. In 2021, I was also named Man of the Year, a distinction that reflects not only my commitment to helping individuals transform their health but also my impact on the local community. These recognitions demonstrate my dedication, consistency, and passion for empowering others to achieve their best selves.
I hold multiple professional certifications across fire service, emergency medicine, and fitness. In the fire service, I am certified as a Fire Officer I & II, Fire Service Instructor I & II, Hazardous Materials Technician I & II, and Rope Rescue Operations I & II, demonstrating advanced leadership and technical rescue expertise. As a licensed Paramedic, I maintain certifications in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and CPR/BLS through the American Heart Association. In addition, I am a dual-certified Certified Personal Trainer through both the International Sports Sciences Association (ISSA) and the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM), with an Online Wellness Coach Certification currently in progress.
