Coast Guard Achievement Medal

I received 3 achievement medals over my nearly 23 year Coast Guard career. I earned these medals mostly by leading teams during casualty repairs and post hurricane response. There are multiple factors to being successful while leading teams. Communication is key both to the superiors above you and the team members working with you. Superiors need to know what parts, materials or others items are needed to complete the mission in a timely manner. Team members need to be managed to ensure time management is being carefully executed while maintaining safety and proper procedures. Furthermore, my awards include my ability to mange multiple task at one time. Achievement medals are earned by achieving mission success during out of the ordinary tasking.
