Lyranda Green

From an early age, I recognized that my true passion lies in helping others. During my high school education, I had the privilege of enrolling in a Health Science program, a comprehensive two-year curriculum that provided me with in-depth knowledge about the human body, the dynamics of nursing, and the various career pathways within the healthcare field.

Throughout this program, I had the opportunity to tour facilities such as Singing River in Gulfport and Summerfield Senior Living, where I gained firsthand insights into different aspects of patient care. During this time, I assisted numerous patients with a variety of tasks and activities under the supervision of experienced professionals, including ER and ICU nurses. This invaluable experience has motivated me to advance my nursing career further.

I am currently enrolled at Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College, pursuing a pre-Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN). I plan to apply for the nursing program later this year. My aspiration is to create a safe environment for patients where they feel heard and understood. While many seek to help others, I am committed to providing kindness and compassionate care, all while building a successful nursing career.
