Most of my work experience revolves around mechanical work. All of my skills may not be applicable to being a firefighter, but I have no problem applying myself and learning new skills. In every shop I've worked in, I have taken every opportunity available to learn a new skill or even just keep my knowledge fresh with classes or workshops. I am very driven to be the best version of myself that I can be. After briefly moving back to my hometown in June of 2025, I moved back to Hattiesburg in April with the plan to be a firefighter. Before moving back to Hattiesburg, I began training myself with hope to join Meridian FD. I realized, though, that I belong here. This city is where I feel most at home and I would love to serve it with the fire department. However, I could not exactly afford to move, so I made the sacrifice to sell my project truck so I could fund the move. Every move that I have made since making this decision was made to prepare myself for this career change. I've made tremendous strides in increasing my physical fitness. I have also referred to my friends who are firefighters to help prepare myself for training. I am very driven to the best fireman that I can be.
