I was hired as a level two (M1) Maintenance Technician for one of Wayne-Sanderson farms processing plants. My responsibilities were extensive but included (list non all-inclusive):


  • Used problem-solving skills to alleviate issues efficiently with minimal supervision.
  • Continuously adhered to strict regulations as well as detailed instructions, guidelines, and specifications.
  • Conducted regular inspections of equipment to promptly identify issues that could cause machinery malfunctions.
  • Troubleshot equipment breakdowns and performed preventive maintenance.
  • Completed dismantling of equipment to quickly repair or replace defective components and restore functionality.
  • Used stamina to lift and transport heavy equipment and parts (50+lbs).
  • Documented work performance in maintenance logs in compliance with company guidelines.


Reason for leaving: The working environment was incredibly hostile, due to excessive amounts of drama and violence. This in addition to work weeks being over sixty hours, lead me to desire to pursue other career opportunities. Leading to my respectful resignation.

I was contracted through SBM as a utility technician for the new Pratt & Whitney high security production facility located in Asheville, NC. However, due to the departure of the supervisor and the company choosing not to replace them. I took on some of their previous responsibilities during my time there. Some of my official duties included (list non all-inclusive):

  • Performed inventory control, such as counting, stocking, and organizing all staff inventory.
  • Used hand trucks or manually lifted supplies and heavy equipment.
  • Maintained and reinforced effective team member communication.
  • Trained new employees.
  • Operated industrial cleaning equipment, machinery, and vehicles in compliance of regulations.
  • Maintained said equipment, machinery, and vehicles in accordance to company standards.
  • Handled hazardous chemicals in compliance of regulations.
  • Shared in the responsibilities of the general custodians (wiping countertops, cleaning floors, taking out trash, etc.).

Reason for leaving: Hurricane Helene almost completely destroyed the city of Asheville. As such I was forced to move back home.
