I work as the Senior Float RN with 22 Physicians at a busy orthopedic clinic. I float between all 22 physicians, all 7 sub-specialties, all 3 clinic locations, and go to the procedure room as needed. I also train all new RNs and work to assist with planning , scheduling, and policy as needed. I do pt history, admission, discharge, scheduling of diagnostics and referrals, precertification, work comp approvals, suture removal, staple removal, dressing change, wound care and dressing change, and phone call returns. I love being a team player and showing up to help.

• I functioned as an evening shift charge nurse in Same Day Surgery. At 3:00 p.m. management and admin went home and I took over the charge role of a 22 OR Same Day Surgery unit. I did pre and post op duties as well as orchestrate the order of multiple cases from outpatient and inpatient surgery. This role included pre-op meds, nerve blocks w/ conscious sedation, surgery prep., pre-op consent, pre-op and post-op teaching, scheduling follow up apts, and mult. other related tasks.

• I established and maintained relationships with over 120 schools of nursing in my assigned region
• My region went from almost last place to first in 2 years

• I was an RN educator for all infant care, breastfeeding, and any other teaching needs that came up for postpartum parents
• I also did follow up calls to address any issues that arose after discharge home
• I taught infant care, breastfeeding, and infant CPR to the public

• I was a staff nurse in the Womens float pool which staffed NICU, well baby nursery, and mother/baby and Gyn surgery units
• I also taught multiples class and infant CPRto the public
